Sausage stoup

I think Rachael Ray can be really annoying sometimes, especially on her talk show. Her cooking shows are a little easier to tolerate. In particular her cutesy names for things, like 'stoup', get on my nerves. But I do like her magazine and I think it has a lot of good recipes in it. Like this one, which I tried last night. I was too lazy to search for and buy broccoli rabe, and I used a bag of broccoli florets instead, so this didn't have as much of a tang as it might have. But overall this was quite easy and tasty, especially with a fresh baguette to help soak up some of the sauce. I'll be eating it again tonight. :)

I feel a little sad that I didn't continue making a post every single day, but realistically I was trying to remember posts and back date them anyway. I decided that I want to start making posts about food, so here we go.

I had been thinking about this recipe for a while, especially because we have a giant carton of eggs in the fridge. When we got totally negged at Can't Fail Cafe coming home from the airport, even though it totally wasn't 1am just yet, I knew it was time. This really hit the spot.

I didn't use all 6 tbls of oil, that just seemed excessive. The original 4 seems like plenty.

I went to a yoga class last night and I felt really great afterwards. It is really good to stretch all the stress out of your body. I slept great and woke up to another sunny and warm day.

Today I ate my lunch outside, took off my jacket, and had a nice call to my Lardypants. I'm also making good progress on a report that is due at work. I am glad that the weather is finally turning better after so many days of rain and clouds. :)

Since we did not find my phone (even though I swear someone at the restaurant must have taken it), we had to spend part of the day yesterday at the Sprint store getting a replacement. But, it was not as bad as it might have been - I am very happy that I qualified for a deal, so I didn't have to pay full price. I got out of there for less than $100, phew!

Happy Birthday!

Today is the big 3-3 for Mr. B. We are celebrating by taking a nice long walk from the bridge to the other side of the city so we can earn some cheeseburgers. :)

Happy Boziversary!

Mr. B and I got the same cards for each other. :)

(also I lost my phone but I am pretty sure it is at the restaurant)

Today was the start of my secret birthdayversary staycation with Mr. B. We are hiding out at a hotel in Japantown for the weekend. Tonight we went to a fancy restaurant (that we had a gift card for) and had a fun time.

We went to my coworker M's birthday party today. Her theme was Soup Island. She had several different soups for people to eat, and everyone was wearing leis and having umbrella drinks. Funny. :) There was also a cute baby there who played blocks with me.

I feel great after that yoga class. I really stretched my shoulders and they feel so much better. I don't know if I can go all the time, because I want to save some of my money. But I definitely want to go back.
